This process works in apps: TB POS
This article will teach you how to start a check-in, capture customer and vehicle, and continue into Order Builder.
The Hub is the front-counter home for new arrivals. Check-in collects the customer and vehicle context that flows into quotes and work orders, so technicians and cashiers share the same job record from the first greeting.
Steps
- Open Hub from the POS Lite sidebar.
- Start a new check-in / new order.
- Find an existing customer or create one if they are new.
- Capture vehicle details (year/make/model/plate as your shop requires).
- Continue into Order Builder to add tires and services.
- Save the job so it remains visible on the Hub list if the customer waits.
Conclusion & best practices
Accurate customer and vehicle data at check-in prevents duplicate accounts and wrong-size tire recommendations later. If the customer is already in Books, search carefully before creating a second customer record.
