How to collect a customer signature in POS Lite?

This process works in apps: TB POS
This article will teach you how to capture an on-device signature or send a public signature link before finishing.
Signatures document customer authorization for the quoted work and total. POS Lite supports on-device capture at the counter or a public signature link the customer opens on their phone — depending on your shop setup and POS Preferences. Checkout should not complete while signature is still pending.
Steps
- From Order Builder, proceed toward Complete Order.
- Open the Signature step when prompted.
- For on-device: hand the tablet/terminal to the customer and have them sign in the box.
- For link flow: send the signature URL and wait until status shows saved.
- Verify the signature thumbnail or “signed” badge appears on the order.
- Return to Complete Order and finish payment if still outstanding.
- Do not mark the job complete if the signature step shows pending or expired.
Conclusion & best practices
A missing signature creates disputes later — especially on declined services or upsells. If using a link, confirm the customer finished on their phone before you mark the job complete. Re-send the link instead of skipping signature when your shop policy requires it.
