This process works in apps: TB POS, TB Books
This article will teach you how to find an in-progress job, update lines or notes, and complete checkout when finished.
Work orders track jobs already in the shop. Opening an existing work order is how technicians update lines, advisors add notes, and cashiers finish payment without creating a duplicate job for the same vehicle.
Steps
- Open Work Orders, or find the job on the Hub list.
- Select the work order for that customer / vehicle.
- Review current lines, status, and notes.
- Add or adjust products and services as the job changes.
- Save updates so the rest of the team sees the latest version.
- When work is done, proceed to Complete Order / checkout.
Conclusion & best practices
Search before creating — duplicate work orders split history and payments. Keep status and notes current so anyone picking up the job knows what the customer already approved.
