How to connect PartsTech to Tire Base?

This process works in apps: TB POS, TB Books
This article will teach you how to create a PartsTech shop account, turn the integration on, and save a username and API key for each location.
PartsTech is the parts-ordering network behind the PartsTech card in TB POS. Tire Base is the shop-management connection; each physical location needs its own PartsTech username and API key. Organization admins connect this under Settings → Organization Settings → Integrations → PartsTech. Until the org toggle is On and that location tests as Connected, Order Builder hides the PartsTech card.

Steps
- Create a PartsTech account if the shop does not have one yet. In Tire Base, open Settings → Organization Settings → Integrations → PartsTech and use Don’t have a PartsTech account yet? Create one (https://app.partstech.com/sign-up/create-account).
- In PartsTech, copy the shop username and API key. Need help finding your API key? in Tire Base opens PartsTech’s own article.
- Back in Tire Base, open Settings → Organization Settings → Integrations and choose PartsTech. Turn the org toggle On.
- Under Location account, select the shop (PartsTech issues one account per location). Enter Username and API key, then click Save.
- Click Test Connection and wait until the badge says Connected. Repeat for every location that should shop PartsTech.
- If Test Connection fails, re-copy the API key from PartsTech for that exact shop. Do not reuse one location’s key on another.
Conclusion & best practices
Only tenant admins can save credentials. API keys never reappear in the browser — the panel shows only the last four characters. After a location is Connected, continue with How to map PartsTech suppliers and choose how lines are sold. Related: How to shop PartsTech from a POS work order?.
