How to change a report date range?

This process works in apps: TB Reports
This article will teach you how to set start and end dates and re-run for the period you need.
Date filters define which transactions appear in financial and operational reports. Leadership questions like “how did last week compare?” fail when the range still says month-to-date. Always confirm the period label on screen matches the question you were asked before exporting.
Steps
- Open the report from the library.
- Locate the start date control and set the beginning of your period.
- Set the end date to the last day included (usually inclusive).
- Check for preset shortcuts (MTD, YTD) before typing custom dates.
- Re-run the report.
- Confirm the header or subtitle shows the intended range.
- Compare a known day’s total to a spot source if the report looks empty.
Conclusion & best practices
Align to business calendars (week ending Saturday, month-to-date, etc.). Save the habit of stating the range in the email when you share exports. Empty reports are usually wrong dates, not missing data.
