How to read invoice quantity and sales totals on the Transactions Report?

This process works in apps: TB Reports

This article will teach you how to read inventory quantity vs sales and purchase totals after the POS Transactions Report sign update.

The legacy Tire Base POS Transactions Report now sends inventory-oriented quantity and document-oriented amounts. Invoices show a positive dollar amount and a negative quantity (stock leaving). Credit memos, refunds, and purchase orders show the opposite. Vendor credits show a positive amount and a negative quantity. This is how POS records the document — not a bug. TB Reports keeps those signs on each grid row and still calculates Subtotal Sales, tax, gross profit, vendor spend, and Profit and Loss from the document type so sales stay sales and purchases stay purchases.

Steps

Conclusion & best practices

Do not flip signs by hand in Excel to “fix” invoices. Filter to Invoices and Credit Memos when you want a sales view, and use the sales KPI cards or P&L for totals. Escalate only if Subtotal Sales or P&L income is wrong after you confirm the date range and store filter.
