How to set up the Service Appointment Booker widget in Sync?

This process works in apps: TB Sync, TB POS
This article will teach you how to create a Standard sales channel for the Service Appointment Booker, configure intake and technicians, and embed the widget on your website.
The Service Appointment Booker is an embeddable website widget from Sync Sales Channels. Customers pick a location, choose a Books / POS Lite service or describe symptoms, select an available time, and confirm contact details. Completed bookings create a POS Lite service quote or work order on the shop calendar — with optional technician assignment.
Steps
- In Sync, open Sales Channels and click New Channel.
- Choose channel type Standard / Widgets, then set Widget Type to Service Appointment Booker.
- Name the channel, select which Sync-enabled locations customers can book, and save.
- Open the channel → Widgets tab. Choose booking intake: Diagnostic (symptoms) or Display services (instant Books / POS Lite service catalog). Hide any services you do not want on the widget.
- Set whether a completed booking creates a Quote (default) or Work Order, and optionally select POS Lite technicians plus an assignment mode (priority, round-robin, or by service).
- Copy the Service Appointment Booker iframe or script embed and paste it on your website (or open the preview URL to share a direct booking link).
- Place a test booking from the preview, then confirm the appointment appears on the POS Lite calendar for the correct location and technician.
Conclusion & best practices
Misconfigured locations or empty service catalogs are the most common go-live issues — fix them in Sync before changing website HTML. Re-test after every technician or hours change so website slots match the shop floor.
