How to browse warehouse inventory in WMS?

This process works in apps: TB WMS
This article will teach you how to list stock by SKU, filter results, and open an item for bins and history.
WMS Inventory lists stock for the selected wms-locations location so you can explore beyond a single SKU lookup. Filter by brand or search terms, then open an item to see bin breakdown and movement history. Use browse mode for cycle planning and investigations; use Inbound/Outbound/Move sessions when you intend to change quantities.
Steps
- Open Inventory in WMS.
- Confirm the active location in the header.
- Filter or search by SKU, brand, or partial description.
- Sort or scan the list for the product family you are investigating.
- Open an item to see bins and movement history.
- Note bins with zero pick face stock even when location totals look healthy.
- Use that detail to decide on moves, counts, or replenishment — not manual edits outside sessions.
Conclusion & best practices
Inventory browse is for exploration; inbound/outbound/move sessions are for changing stock. Do not “fix” quantities outside an official session type — that breaks audit trails and desyncs Books valuation.
