How to receive inbound inventory in WMS?

This article will teach you how to start an Inbound session, scan what arrived, verify, and finalize so stock lands in bins.

Inbound posts stock when freight is on the dock. Open Inbound from the sidebar, tap New, scan each barcode into the Scan product barcode field, then Verify and Finalize and Receive. Completing the session updates warehouse quantities that Books valuation depends on. Receive what physically arrived — use a later session for the rest of a split shipment. Steps

• Confirm the header location matches the dock, then open Inbound from the sidebar.
• Tap New (or Continue on an OPEN session). Set Type to purchase, transfer, or other, and enter a Reference Number if you have a PO.
• Focus Scan product barcode (UPC/SKU/PN) and scan each unit. Adjust qty if needed, or tap ADD if you typed the SKU by hand.
• If the barcode is unknown, link it to a local product, Search Global Catalog, or Quick Add Product — then keep scanning.
• When the batch list matches the freight, tap Verify to open Verify & Finalize.
• Scan again to confirm lines, then tap Finalize and Receive to commit stock.
