How to pick an outbound session in WMS?

This process works in apps: TB WMS
This article will teach you how to start an outbound session, pick from listed bins, and complete to remove stock.
Outbound removes stock from bins for shipments, will-call, or shop pulls. The session lists suggested bins; completing it is what decrements on-hand — walking product off the floor without completing leaves the system wrong and breaks pick accuracy for the next order.
Steps
- Open Outbound from the WMS sidebar.
- Start or open the session tied to the order or pull.
- Confirm the header location matches where you are picking.
- Pick each SKU from the bins listed in the session.
- Confirm quantities as you scan — adjust down if the bin is short.
- Complete the session to update stock.
- If you could not pick a line, leave it short and notify sales or shipping rather than forcing quantities.
Conclusion & best practices
If a bin is empty, stop and investigate before forcing quantities. Short picks should be visible in the session so sales and shipping can react. Never complete an outbound session for tires you did not physically move — that creates ghost inventory downstream.
