How to use Quick Lookup in WMS?

This process works in apps: TB WMS
This article will teach you how to scan or type a SKU and see on-hand quantities by bin for the active location.
Quick Lookup answers “where is this tire?” for the active warehouse location without starting a full inventory browse session. Scan or type a SKU and WMS returns bin-level quantities so pickers know which aisle to walk. It is read-only — use Inbound, Outbound, Move, or Adjustments to change stock.
Steps
- Confirm the active WMS location in the header matches the building you are standing in.
- Open Quick Lookup / Inventory Lookup from the sidebar.
- Scan the barcode or type the SKU exactly as it appears on the label.
- Review bin quantities returned for that location.
- Tap a bin row when you need to navigate there physically.
- If zero bins appear, verify the SKU exists in catalog and that stock was received into bins — not just adjusted at location level.
- Adjust your pick or putaway plan based on the bins shown.
Conclusion & best practices
Always verify the header location first — looking up the right SKU in the wrong warehouse wastes the whole trip to the aisle. Quick Lookup does not change quantities; if the floor disagrees with the screen, start a count session instead of “fixing” numbers elsewhere.
