How to understand WMS permissions?
TB WMS · settings · Last updated August 17, 2026 · Version 1
This process works in apps: TB WMS, TB One
This article will teach you how to confirm your role includes the warehouse modules you need and what to do after access is granted.
Module access in WMS — inbound, outbound, counts, adjustments, settings — is controlled by role permissions under Organization Settings → Permissions. If a sidebar item is missing, it is usually permissions, not a broken install. Admins manage roles in TB One or any app’s Organization Settings; users may need a fresh login after changes.
Steps
- Ask an admin to open Settings → Permissions (Organization Settings).
- Locate your user or role and confirm WMS modules are enabled.
- Have the admin save permission changes.
- Sign out and sign back in if access was just granted.
- Retry the module that was previously hidden (e.g. Outbound or Adjustments).
- If still blocked, confirm your tenant includes the WMS app subscription on TB One.
Conclusion & best practices
Grant least privilege: receivers do not always need adjustment rights. After permission changes, a fresh login avoids stale client claims. Escalate to Tire Base support only after an admin confirms role and subscription — not when a single menu item was never granted.
