How to connect a Zebra ZQ630 printer to Wi-Fi?

This process works in apps: TB WMS

This article will teach you how to put a Zebra ZQ630 on shop Wi-Fi with the Zebra Printer Setup Utility app on iPhone or Android.

WMS sends labels to Zebra ZQ630 printers over Wi-Fi (ZPL to the printer IP). The printer must join your warehouse network before Settings → Label Printer can reach it. You configure Wi-Fi from a phone using Zebra’s Printer Setup Utility (the Zebra print / printer setup app on the App Store or Google Play). The phone talks to the printer over Bluetooth only long enough to push Wi-Fi settings — WMS itself prints over Wi-Fi, not from that phone session.

Steps

Conclusion & best practices

Zebra documents this same flow as “Configuring Wireless Network Using Zebra Printer Setup Utility.” If Test Printer still fails, the usual causes are the wrong SSID/password, guest Wi-Fi that blocks device-to-device traffic, or an IP that changed after DHCP — reserve the printer in your router or use a static IP from IT.
